Software Product Pre-Sales Consultant

Doozer Software is currently assisting one of our current clients in a search for a Software Product Pre-Sales Consultant.  This is a great opportunity to work with a company providing SaaS - Software as a Service products into a niche industry across the U.S.  The position will report to the Director of Sales.  The position comes with a base salary, incentive bonus, and a full suite of benefits.  Position is based out of our client’s corporate office in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales team through delivering technical presentations and demos of product functionality to prospective customers and prospects
  • Work with sales team to better understand customer requirements so presentations can be targeted to demonstrate maximum value of the software product solutions
  • Take ownership of the product demo, presentation, scripts related to demo of product and value of the product
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of technical functions of the software
  • Answer technical questions from customers and prospects
  • Be part of a team that will respond to RFP’s
  • Work closely with prospects and customers to help them better understand best use of the software product solutions to solve their business needs
  • Work closely with product development team and sales team to provide customer feedback for new features and system enhancements

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in presentation software both in-person and through online demos
  • Ability to understand technical information and communicate it effectively to both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Technical Aptitude
  • Great communication skills and business acumen
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and demonstrate software product functions
  • Previous experience in a Sales Engineer, System Engineer, Pre-Sales Support, Software Product Support, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of software and database solutions
  • Ability to provide custom value
  • Ability to travel up to 30% and work business hours that can be east and west coasts
  • Any previous sales experience is a plus but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
