Systems Analyst - Reporting - SQL Data - Analysis

Doozer Software’s IT staffing division is currently assisting one of our clients in Homewood, Alabama in a search for a Systems Analyst that will focus on financial data reporting.  This position will serve as an application administrator and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.  This person will be the “go to” person for helping find data and generating reports for multiple business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Design, document, build, test and deploy enhancements to 3rd party vendor software custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports and complex dashboards
  • Provide support to internal end-users of different systems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Identifies project requirements by interviewing business stakeholders, analyzing operations, determine project scope and documenting results
  • Creates and maintains databases and management reports; analyze and interpret data to identify anomalies, trends and opportunities for improvements
  • Works under limited to moderate supervision to analyze and solve mildly complex operational and systems-related issues
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Understand existing system reports, the functionality of each and how they support management initiatives
  • Create ad hoc reports as requested by management, sales and operations   

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at writing SQL queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Ability to get up to speed on 3rd party software applications including how to configure reporting
  • 4 year Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics is a plus but not required
